Preparing to Go -- 2 more weeks

It's now exactly 2 weeks until we (Jim & Julie Hansen and Scott & Janet McGee and Tammy Stone) leave for Africa for a mission trip to work with Hope of the Nations (http://www.hopeofthenationstz.org/)! Follow along on our journey to the town of Kigoma, on the western border of Tanzania, on Lake Tanganyika.

Scott Janet and Julie are heading out on Friday, May 15th, from San Francisco and will arrive in Dar Es Salaam on Sunday morning, May 17th, and then catch an in-country flight over to Kigoma. Jim and Tammy will fly out the following Friday, May 22nd. This is the first trip for Scott & Janet and Tammy, Jim's 3rd trip and my 4th trip. Scott will be teaching at the Bible College for a 3-week session on the book of Isaiah, while the rest of us join in on teaching, seminars, kid's clubs and much more.

We will try to update as often as we can while we're in Kigoma, but that will depend on the electricity, which is sporadic.

If you'd like to join our prayer team, please let us know by adding a comment. We can never have too much prayer!

Because of Him, JJJ&S

  2. Great idea to put out a blog report on your trip. We'll look forward to it as often as you can send it - and, of course, we'll be praying!

  3. Hey guys, count us in as intercessors for you. My brother and sister in law do trips for Horn of Africa, so we understand the whole electricity thing. Be blessed, be safe. We look forward to your first blog!!
Lifting you all up, Candi and Brent

  5. Scott and Janet,
Sitting here trying to figure out if we have everything covered for our first service without you. God will provide if we don't. Followed your flight to London off and on last night. Had you covered in prayer. Keep in touch. Love and prayers, the Millers
